It’s a very common failing part so I wouldn’t be surprised – but if there is no warning light on the dash, get the problem diagnosed because normally a faulty rack on this vehicle would bring up a warning light. hello i have a fault with my steering once u drive for about half an hour it becomes heavy and not nice to drive . if you stop and turn the steering lock to lock it becomes very light again .have had it vag tested no fault codes no lights could it be the pcm instead of rack or elec motor could you email me with a price list please

we have an Audi a3 2004 53 reg steering light on , no steering assistance , won’t reset if driven in a straight line above 20 kmh. unable to comunicate with steering control . also the gatway has a fault code for no coms with steering . what do you think. I think rack .
