They’re pretty cool, look great in the dash but at £2000+ they don’t come cheap!
A very common problem that most people are experiencing is complete screen failure which is common across the entire BMW iDrive MFD Multi Function Display Satellite Navigation System range. When they fail, BMW render the entire unit useless and advise that it must be replaced – if it’s replaced under warranty then you’re very lucky but otherwise it seems like a very costly replacement which is where we come in.
Before parting with your hard earned cash, there is a very good chance that your existing unit can be repaired saving you a LOT of money. Our iDrive Remanufacturing Procedure
All units are first tested on our purpose built testing station which allows us to power the unit up and simulate it as if it was still connected to the vehicle. We can then assess the problem and confirm all underlying faults. We then proceed to carrying out the repairs, replacing any necessary major components including the liquid crystal display (LCD). After repairs the unit is re-assembled and tested again to confirm full functionality before returning the unit to you.

BMW X3 2012, display is randomly turning red for 30 seconds or so and then rebooting, when it returns the sat nav doesn’t know where it is. Is this a fault you have seen before?

Hi We have a 16 reg bmw gt sport on our control screen to the i drive we have a red /blue line going across the top the i drive is working perfectly have no problems with the radio cd menu or sat nav .
is it possible if you could shed a light on whats wrong and if repairable how much would it cost

hi my idrive screen is constantly black. it flashes on when i turn on ignition then goes off then flashes on again then goes off and stays off. i had the nbt head unit sent away for repair and they told me they bench tested it and it was working fine, they told me it could be a faulty screen, can you tell me if this is repairable and cost. the screen part no is BM 9289008 02 3 ITS 10.25INCH. thanks

team, BMW 5 series E60, the idrive works ok when the car is cold, but when the interior gets warm, the idrive goes off and then keeps rebooting over and over. Do you offer a drive in and drive out service with a refurbished unit? if so, where are you located?
